Have you ever been excited after starting a new training program, only to be disappointed when you step on the scale a few weeks later? Maybe you’re not focused on weight, but you’re not sure if you’re making any improvements after sticking with your program. Or perhaps you’re a diligent exerciser, but sometimes you wonder “what’s the point?” Here at In Motion Fitness, we are big proponents of regular assessments throughout your training schedule to help you with these concerns and more.
Assessments can help you see marked progress in your training that you otherwise might not notice. People often comment that they feel like they have more energy or their clothes fit better after sticking with an exercise and diet routine. These improvements are GREAT, and we love hearing about them. However, sometimes it’s nice to see it down on paper, too. And being able to track numerical data can be motivating and help you see that you ARE improving even when sometimes you might not feel like it.
At In Motion Fitness, we do a number of assessments on our clients to help them see their progress. We assess your functional movements through a Functional Movement Screening to show you your improvements in range of motion and flexibility. We also track your body composition, so you can see the difference in your body fat percentage and muscle mass. We also do periodic assessments with our nutritionist, which helps you keep your diet in check and fine-tune any changes that should be made to help you see more results.
Assessments are a great tool to give you multiple ways to see what a difference you are making for your body when you commit to a fitness program. We love offering this service to our clients, and we know it can make a difference for you, too!
